The
other day, a friend of mine was having a bad day and as usual I went to help
him. When it got too much I just couldn't take it and it even surprised me that
even I, as caring as I am, would dare to leave him in such state.
Granted;
he was having a bad day over the silliest of reasons and was just looking for
attention but still, as a good friend you stay there till the end. But I got to
the point where I just had to leave.
Aren't
we all that at some point of our lives? Don't we have those selfish moments?
It's normal, if you ask me, nothing wrong with it, because at the end of the
day, you're on your own. No one's really always there for you but God. But
let's not get into that right now. I mean as people, friends, colleagues,
workers, we all have those moments. We're not perfect, we're not angels, and
mistakes (even intentionally) are meant to happen every once in a while.
My
point here is, we're all jerks at some point, no matter how much of a saint of
an image we seek to portray. Also, to each his own, eventually. So don't get
mad at people if they don't care every once in a while, they don't mean it.
Sometimes, we just have to stay away, being selfish is important at some
points.
Now,
I don't know what's with me and Avril Lavigne lately but I just really GET her
songs you know? Anyway, I'm ending it with a relevant song to the subject.
Everybody
hurts someday; it's ok to be afraid.
Everybody
hurts, everybody screams, everybody feels this way.
And
it's okay... It's okay...
